Private Alternative Loans

Private alternative loans are used by some students that may not be eligible for Federal loans. For example a student may have reached the aggregated amount on the Direct Stafford loan limit.
Eligibility for private alternative loans often depends on the student's credit score; therefore, a cosigner may be required. Private alternative loans tend to cost more than the education loans offered by the Federal government but are less expensive than credit card debt.
You are NOT required to choose the lender below. You may, however, select a lender of your choice that is not on this list. Please contact the Financial Aid Office if you would like to do so and we will provide instructions on how to apply for a loan with that lender.
