Spring and Fall courses : Spanish language courses are held in the mornings in the International Language Center on the main campus.
Students begin with Grammatical Structure from 9:00am to 11:00am, and then integrate in the appropriate level of Medical Spanish from 11:00am to 12:40pm.
Summer courses : the first two weeks of the course are Intensive Language.
A Spanish 101 level is required for these summer courses.
Grammatical Structure
from 9:00 a.m. to 10:40 a.m.
Medical Spanish
from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Language Practice
from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
A cultural field trip is also included as part of the Spanish Language Course. Additional side trips can be arranged through our Study Abroad Department.
Two mandatory cultural workshops are to be done by students on their own.
A Mexican cooking workshop is available during the summer courses.
Afternoons are on your own.
Spring and Fall courses : These activities are done in the afternoon from 3:15 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The (PMC) – Program of Medicine in the Community - offers community activities that will enhance and compliment students learning experience. This is a very basic clinical class.
Summer courses : Clinical aspect for these courses is done during the 3rd and 4th week. Daily schedule is from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
