President

Stephanie Tanner

Tanner is a fifth-semester student from Philadelphia Pennsylvania with a background in biochemistry. She worked prior to attending UAG as an EMT. She is currently the fifth-semester president and actively involved in the UAGSOM AMSA chapter. She is passionate about being a part of NASA and helping to facilitate communication between the student body and the administration.

Francisco J. Bueso

A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business, Francisco represents the diversity of backgrounds in education and experience found in our student body. He is currently in fifth semester and looking forward to the clinical aspect of his medical education. As for NASA, his plans are to continue fund-raising efforts for the ‘Our Saving Grace’ Fund, connecting graduates through a more proactive alumni network and oversee the installment of physical fitness facilities on the ICB campus and HAL Hospital.

Secretary

Moayad Ismail

Arab-American born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He moved to Palestine for a couple of years when he was 10. He learned everything about his culture, language, and religion. After attending California Polytechnic University, Pomona, he obtained a Bachelors in Biology with an emphasis in Neuroscience. Following that, he was certified as a Dental Technician.Currently, he is the AMSA representative for second semester. He plans to specialize in orthopedic surgery.

Clinical Trustee

Sara Banks

Sarah was born and raised in Nova Scotia, Canada. She moved to Pensacola, Florida where she obtained her B.S. in Pre-medicine from Pensacola Christian College. Before making the decision to attend UAG, Sarah worked for a year as a medical assistant with a Pediatric group in Western Kentucky. Having completed her second year in UAG's medical program, Sarah is looking forward to working with NASA in the coming year.

Sports Coordinator

Manuel Gutiérrez

Manny was born in Cuba and has lived in Colombia, Florida, Arizona, and currently in San Francisco, California. In 2010, he obtained a B.H.Sc in Physiology from the University of Arizona with minors in Psychology and Chemistry. He believes that sports are a great way to maintain good friends and good health, and invites the student body to become involved with the many sports the school has to offer. He is currently in second semester and hopes to one day be a practicing physician in the United States.

Editor and Cheif

Carlos Fernández

Carlos is from Rancho Cucamonga, California. He graduated from the University of California Riverside with a BS in Biology. He worked in UCR as a field research Entomologist and as a Biophysics researcher. Before coming to UAG, he worked as an EMT in Montclair, California. Carlos is currently a 7th-semester student and hopes to bring students from all semesters together to create a new team environment and to bring fresh ideas to improve academics at UAG.
