USMLE
Step 1 Score by UAG One of the Highest
The
USMLE Step 1 is a required exam of all medical students
striving to acquire licensure in the United States. It
no doubt creates fear in the minds of all first and second
year students. For David Streckman, fifth-semester student,
it is a fear already conquered.
David
Streckman scored 248 points out of a possible 250 –
that’s a 99% accuracy score.
This
UAG medical student from Dallas, Texas stated, “The
UAG provides an excellent level of preparation even though
I know that as a medical student one has to devote more
hours to study than anything else.” David was very
pleased and proud of his achievement especially since
this score will be a definite asset when choosing a residency
program.
The
USMLE is divided into 3 parts. Step 1 consists of 350
questions that need to be answered within the 8-hour allotment.
These questions are divided into 7 sections of 50 questions
each. Once you finish one section you are not permitted
to return to that section.
Step
1 covers subjects such as Anatomy, Biochemistry, Microbiology,
Pathology and Pharmacology, which are studied in the first
through fourth semesters.
David
Streckman is a clear example of what can be achieved with
hard work and excellent preparation.
