Angeles Mayor
Honors the UAG
An
official “Recognition” signed by Los Angeles
Mayor James K. Hahn, City Council President Alex Padilla
and Councilman Tony Cardenas was presented to the Universidad
Autónoma de Guadalajara.
The
“Recognition” was made to honor the many accomplishments
of the UAG during its celebratory events of the UAG’s
70th Anniversary. Graduates of the UAG and “jaliscienses”
(persons from the State of Jalisco) who presently reside
in Los Angeles presented this “Recognition”
to Antonio Leaño Reyes, President of the Universidad
Autónoma de Guadalajara.
Mr.
Rubén Arenas Flores, President of the Mexican Chamber
of Commerce in Los Angeles, spear-headed the movement
for this recognition. Mr. Sergio Tinoco, Treasurer of
the Mexican Chamber of Commerce and other chamber members
joined Mr. Flores and Ms Wafa J. Hoballah, President of
the International Visitors Council during the official
event.
