Dr. Frank Boutsen shared his knowledge and experience in Otolaryngologywith foreign future doctors at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara's (UAG) School of Medicine. Dr. Boutsen was invited as visiting professor for the International Program.
A professor at the University of Oklahoma and a graduate of the University of Illinois, Dr. Boutsen joined the program for a second time. He said that in the subject of Otolaryngology students learn about the functions and illnesses of the ear, nose and throat as well as their importance for human function.
Dr. Boutsen told the students that the knowledge seen in class comprises the basics of medicine, but the difference will be made in their daily studies and the deduction paid to each patient during their professional practice.
The visiting professor program is "important and solid for the student. Here, students can learn medicine focused on different points of view, thanks to the diversity of professors and the experience each one possesses," he emphasized.
Dr. Frank Boutsen decided to participate in this activity because of the UAG's international prestige and, at the same, to learn about medicine in Mexico.
